David Dycus, DVM, MS, DACVS, CCRP
Repairing long bone fractures may seem daunting, but you can learn and practice the fixation skills you need to get your patients back on all feet. A veterinary orthopedic surgeon will guide you in using bone models to perform intramedullary pin and cerclage fixation, as well as bone plating. You’ll also discuss locking vs. non-locking plates and explore lag screw fixation techniques.
Participants may find it helpful to review pertinent anatomy and orthopedic instrumentation before attending this course.
