We know you trust your colleagues for all kinds of recommendations. Here’s what they have to say about making your Fetch experience a smooth one.
1. Pack for comfort and convenience: The weather and the session rooms can go from chilly to warm depending upon time of day, so consider dressing in layers. Wear comfortable shoes. Pack your phone charger. (But if you forget that last one, don’t panic. Fetch will have charging stations in the Relax & Recharge lounge at the center of the Fetch Exhibit Hall.)
2. Plan ahead: Visit the At a Glance and online program pages, and the final program in your registration packet for the most current schedule and meeting room information, and register now for any sessions that require an RSVP. You might even still be able to add a hands-on learning opportunity, with one of the Clinical Techniques Courses. (Those have additional fees, but we promise it’s well worth it.) There are also terrific sessions that are supported by sponsors. (Those and free—and sometimes even offer a free lunch!)
3. Build in time: Schedule some non-session time. Take time to interact with colleagues and exhibitors, and don’t forget to eat! Although the Fetch team tries to give you all the brain food you could possibly shove in your head in four days, the experience should also give you a moment to step back. Take advantage of the time away from the press of everyday practice and, well, think.
4. Use the Fetch Exhibit Hall floor plan: Visit “must see” exhibitors before or after session breaks when you can receive more personal attention. You likely have questions about products and services you use now or would like to add to your repertoire. But when you’re standing there on the exhibit hall floor, you’re not likely to remember the specifics. Spending just a few minutes before you’re there can make the time you spend way more valuable for you.
