What are the basics again?
How much CE can I earn?
The 2018 Fetch dvm360 conference in Kansas City program has been submitted, but not yet approved for a maximum of 36 hours of credit for veterinarians in full attendance and 29 hours of credit for technicians over four days in jurisdictions that recognize AAVSB’s RACE approval. General four-day attendance without additional purchases earns veterinarians 29 hours of CE and technicians 29 hours of CE. Each state’s licensing board will consider the program; check with your state’s board for the number of hours it approves. Some boards have limitations on the number of hours accepted in certain categories and/or restrictions on certain methods of delivery of continuing education. To record your CE hours, a certificate of attendance will be included in your registration packet.
The practice management courses are applicable toward the continuing education requirement for the Certified Veterinary Practice Manager program offered by the Veterinary Hospital Managers Association.
What about Texas?
Veterinarians licensed in Texas must track each seminar hour attended with a Texas CE form. When you arrive, pick up the form at the Information Desk and sign in on the sheet provided. Before you leave Fetch Kansas City, return your completed form to the Onsite Registration Desk and sign out on the sheet provided. A Fetch staff member will verify your hours and give you a signed CE Certificate of Attendance. Don’t leave without your certificate — we can’t mail it to you! For more information, call us at (800) 255-6864, ext. 6.
Do you have a discount for students?
As a matter of fact, we do! Fetch dvm360 conference offers special savings for students and new graduates (that won’t add to your student loan debt). Pricing is on the registration form; click here to learn more.
Can I bring a guest (or a dog)?
Guests (like spouses, significant others or children) are people who aren’t working in the veterinary industry. All veterinarians, technicians, practice managers, and team members must register and pay registration fees. Guests receive complimentary Exhibit Hall-only badges when included on the registration form in advance. Guests, including children, do not receive access to the seminar rooms. Onsite guest badges are $5. Children ages 10 to 18 receive free badges (list their names on the registration form); those under 10 do not require badges.
Where do I get my badge?
Pick up your badge at the registration desk when you sign in for the conference. For $45, exhibit hall-only badges are available onsite for veterinarians, technicians, practice managers, and team members who are affiliated with a practice and/or not working for an industry company. Are you an early-bird? Call the Fetch dvm360 customer service team to set up your badge early at (800) 255-6864, ext. 6.
When is the exhibit hall open?
The exhibit hall hours are as follows:
Saturday, August 18, 10:15 AM – 6:45 PM
Sunday, August 19, 9 AM – 5 PM
Monday, August 20, 9 AM – 2 PM
Don’t miss out on the Go party hosted in the exhibit hall on Saturday night starting at 5:30 PM! This includes free food and drink and the chance to go around and talk to exhibitors or take advantage of some of the other fun stuff we’ve got going on (like selfie booths).
How do I get my hands on the proceedings?
Paid veterinarians, technicians, practice managers, students and spouses attending seminars receive 2018 Fetch dvm360 proceedings from Kansas City as downloadable proceedings (available a week prior to the convention). The downloadable proceedings will be sent to the same email address that you used when registering for the convention.
And you have audio recordings of sessions, too?
That’s right! Because there’s such a wide variety of great lectures, it’s difficult to attend every session. Thanks to Fetch dvm360 in Kansas City MP3s, you can listen in on the lectures you couldn’t attend or hear your favorite sessions again. Order lecture MP3s at the Onsite Registration Desk at the Convention Center. Or pre-order your copy on the registration form.
What if I need to cancel?
To receive a full refund, minus a $50 processing fee, your registration cancellation must be made in writing, by fax or mail, postmarked by July 11, 2018. No refunds will be issued for convention or special program registration or Clinical Techniques Courses after July 11, 2018.
You will not receive a refund if you do not cancel your attendance by July 11, 2018 or do not attend the convention after registering (a no-show). A $50 processing fee will be charged for registration changes that impact name badges and CE forms.
Do I have to pay for my lunches?
All attendees will receive Fetch dvm360 lunch bucks for each day they are registered (Saturday, Sunday, and/or Monday). Please use these lunch bucks as cash to purchase lunch and snacks at the concession stands in the Exhibit Hall from 10:30 AM to 3:00 PM on Saturday and Sunday, and 10:30 AM to 2:00 PM on Monday.
Are there accommodations for my accessibility needs?
