What are the basics again?
Fetch San Diego 2017 will be held December 7-10, 2017 at the San Diego Convention Center, located at 111 W. Harbor Drive, San Diego, CA 92101.
How much CE can I earn?
The 2017 Fetch San Diego program has been submitted (but not yet approved) for a maximum of 36 hours of credit for veterinarians in full attendance and 29 hours of credit for technicians over four days in jurisdictions that recognize AAVSB’s RACE approval. General four-day attendance earns veterinarians 29 hours of CE and technicians 29 hours of CE without purchasing any Clinical Techniques Courses or Ask the Expert Luncheons.
Each state’s licensing board will consider the program; check with your state’s board for the number of hours it approves. Some boards have limitations on the number of hours accepted in certain categories and/or restrictions on certain methods of delivery of continuing education. To record your CE hours, certificates of attendance will be included in your registration packet.
The Practice Management Courses are applicable toward the continuing education requirement for the Certified Veterinary Practice Manager program offered by the Veterinary Hospital Managers Association
What about Texas?
Veterinarians licensed in Texas must track each seminar hour attended with a CE Checklist. When you arrive, pick up the checklist at the Tour/Information Desk and sign in on the sheet provided. Before you leave Fetch San Diego, return your completed checklist to the Registration Desk and sign out on the sheet provided. A Fetch staff member will verify your hours and give you a signed CE Certificate of Attendance.

Can I bring a guest (or a dog)?
Guests (e.g., spouses, significant others, children) are defined as people—not pets, sorry—who don’t work in the veterinary industry. All veterinarians, technicians, practice managers, and team members must register and pay registration fees. Guests receive complimentary exhibit hall-only badges when included on the registration form in advance. Guests, including children, do not receive access to the seminar rooms. On-site guest badges are $5. Children ages 10 to 18 receive free badges (list their names on the registration form); those under 10 do not require badges.
Where do I get my badge?
Badges will not be mailed; you can pick them up onsite at the Registration Desk. For a $45 fee, exhibit hall-only badges are available onsite for veterinarians, technicians, practice managers, and team members who are affiliated with a practice and/or not working for an industry company. Exhibit hall-only badges do not receive access to seminar rooms.
How do I get my hands on the proceedings?
Paid veterinarians, technicians, practice managers, students and spouses attending seminars receive a 2017 Fetch San Diego proceedings CD or downloadable proceedings (available a week prior to the convention). The downloadable proceedings will be sent to the same email address that you used when registering for the convention. Indicate your preferred format on the registration form.
A proceedings book is available by advance purchase for only $60 — ($75 after 10/25/2017.) A limited number of additional CDs and downloadable proceedings will be sold for $75 each at the Onsite Registration Desk.
Wait, you have audio recordings?
With such a wide variety of great lectures, it’s difficult to attend every session. Thanks to Fetch San Diego MP3s, you can listen in on the lectures you couldn’t attend or hear your favorite sessions again. Order lecture MP3s at the Convention Center — just look for the signs. Or pre-order your copy on the registration form.
What if I need to cancel?
To receive a full refund, minus a $50 processing fee, your registration cancellation must be made in writing, by fax, email, or mail, postmarked by November 1, 2017. No refunds will be issued for convention or special program registration, tours, child care or Clinical Techniques Courses after November 1, 2017.
You will not receive a refund if you do not cancel your attendance by November 1, 2017, or do not attend the convention after registering (a no-show). A $50 processing fee will be charged for registration changes that affect name badges and CE forms.
Is there a place I can drop off my kids?
Licensed, onsite childcare for children aged six months to 12 years is available on a first-come, first served basis. Space is limited, so reserve your spot early.
Do I have to pay for my own lunches?
All attendees will receive Fetch lunch bucks for each day they are registered (Friday, Saturday, and/or Sunday). Please use these lunch bucks as cash to purchase lunch and snacks at the concession stands in the exhibit hall from 10:30 AM to 3:00 PM on Friday and Saturday, and 10:30 AM – 2:00 PM on Sunday.
Guests will not receive lunch bucks.
How do people get ahold of me if I don’t have a phone?
A message board will be located in the Registration Lobby of the San Diego Convention Center (SDCC). Individuals cannot be paged, so please check the message board daily. An emergency phone number will be included in the final program, available onsite.
Where do I pick up my registration packet?
Registration packets will be distributed onsite. Please pick yours up at the Registration Desk in Ballroom 6 Lobby at the San Diego Convention Center (SDCC) during these hours:
Thursday, December 7: 10:00 AM – 6:45 PM
Friday, December 8: 7:00 AM – 7:00 PM
Saturday, December 9: 7:00 AM – 6:30 PM
Sunday, December 10: 7:00 AM – 6:00 PM
